Do you know this feeling when the world around you moves so much slower than yourself? Do you know this feeling that you are always five steps ahead and none seems able to or even interested in keeping up?
Funny images come to mind like Matrix or Max Payne – bullet time as the full trademark is called. Another image is the processor idling for input from the memory. As there are physical limits to how fast we can get data into the registers we try to parallelize instead … and still are waiting for the input. Sounds awfully familiar, doesn’t it?
