New York

There are cities you come to and you just don’t like em. It’s not so much that they repell you (that can happen as well – Trieste was like that), it’s more a kind of boredom. Cologne and Los Angeles had that effect on me.
And then there are the cities you come to and you just love em. Stuttgart (ok that’s home), Hamburg and San Francisco were such cities for me. Today I jumped into New York/Manhattan. Without any clear plans or anything. I went out of my hotel turned left and left again and was on 5th Avenue. What can I say – this city just feels right. I love it!
Now I’m sitting at Bryant Parkin front of the Public Library, read some tourist guide, a Buffy graphical novel and enjoy life. Life’s good.
… und Times Square ist Fußgängerzone geworden. Hätte nie darauf gewettet. Aber das tolle dort war immer das Chaos nachts bei bunten Lichtern.
Na ja, nichts ist mehr, wie es mal war.
